Job overview

Our students require a Lead Teacher of Physical Education/BTEC Sport who has the ability to deliver high quality teaching and learning for our students and improve further extracurricular provision and take up.  We are seeking a talented and inspiring leader of PE who is also able to take a lead role in developing the Personal Development/PSHE Curriculum in our small school. 

The successful candidate is expected to teach PE and PD at both Key Stage 3 and 4 across the whole ability range. You must possess a track record of successful teaching practice, underpinned by a broad base of subject knowledge and teaching and learning strategies. In addition, we are seeking candidates with highly developed communication and organisation skills combined with the ability to engage, enthuse and motivate our students to achieve their potential. We are also looking for a teacher who is able to offer extra-curricular activities and promote the value of sport with students and their families.

Parkside Community School is a good school with sustained improvement. The school has now achieved three years of record breaking GCSE results which have exceeded national averages and placed the school in the upper quartiles nationally across a number of areas.
