Job overview

Whitehill Community Academy

Lead Teacher with Responsibility for SEND

Leadership L1-L4 (£47,185 - £50,807)

Trinity Multi Academy Trust is proud to have transformed the life chances of thousands of pupils across its existing academies, and our core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility run through all aspects of academy life.  The Trust currently comprises of 11 academies, including secondary, primary and further education.  Whitehill Community Academy joined the Trust in January 2024.  With almost 700 pupils and 120 employees, it is a large and busy primary school.

Since joining Trinity MAT Whitehill has embarked on the next exciting chapter.  Our aim is that every student is offered a wide range of opportunities, both inside and outside the classroom, so that all children achieve academic success, develop life-long skills and expand on their cultural capital.

We have recently renegotiated the funding around a number of our EHCP learners.  This has created an exciting opportunity to help shape a new provision that will open at Whitehill in September 2025.  Our intention is that this role will work closely with the SENCo and the Senior Team to ensure that this provision is fully integrated into who we are and what we do.  Whilst a background in SEND would be an asset it is not an essential as we are looking for someone with the passion to take this opportunity, shape the vision and then make it a reality.

If you want to make a real difference to some of our most vulnerable learners then this is the position for you.  Opportunities like this do not come around that often and this is one not to be missed.

We welcome early applications for this position and reserve the right to interview earlier than the closing date.

If you would like more information on this position, please attend our information evening on Thursday 9th May at 16:00 at the school.  If you would like to attend please book your place by contacting Sophie Palka; SPalka@whitehill.trinitymat.org.

Start date: September 2024

Closing date: 8am; Monday 20th May 2024

Apply now!  For further information on this role, the benefits of working for the trust and how to apply, visit our recruitment website; www.trinitymat.org/all-vacancies.  Here you can also view our Staff Prospectus.

Trinity Multi-Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  All appointments are made subject to an enhanced DBS check.  We are an equal opportunities employer and want our staff profile to reflect the community we serve.
