We are seeking to appoint to the exciting new position of Leader in Maths Excellence. This new role is a unique opportunity for an exceptional and outstanding teacher who is passionately committed to developing a culture of Maths Excellence across all key stages. You will support high prior achieving pupil premium students (target students) to realise their academic potential in Maths at GCSE and develop the Maths department’s subject knowledge of Maths outside of the curriculum, and at GCSE higher tier level topics.

We are looking for a creative, inspirational, and committed practitioner with expertise in evidence-based pedagogies, such as Rosenshine Principles and the principles in 'Teach Like a Champion'. You must have a true passion for the subject and an interest in developing students understanding of Maths that is outside of the National Curriculum. You will be working with the Director of Maths, wider Senior Leadership Team, Subject Advisors and Maths Excellence Development Team.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding and inspirational Teacher of Maths.
  • Be committed to developing a culture of Maths Excellence across all key stages through, organising catch up tutoring, arranging exciting and engaging events, tracking student progress, continually engaging with parents, and rigorously monitoring curriculum implementation.
  • Be committed to our ethos of high expectations and no excuses.
  • Have the belief that every student can be successful.
  • Have the desire to make a real difference to the lives of our students.
