We are seeking to appoint a committed and talented Learning Assistant, to work at the Stanground Academy.
The ideal Learning Assistant will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting individuals or small groups both within and outside of the classroom environment as well as providing cover in the library when needed. You will be a professional role model to the pupils, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate.
To be successful you must have:
- excellent communication skills;
- the ability to provide support that is second to none;
- experience of working with young people or children (SEND experience would be advantageous);
- first rate team working skills;
- a professional approach and high personal standards.

This role is for 30 hours a week, Monday to Friday and is required in term time only; therefore this is reflected in the pro rata salary.

The new Stanground Academy opened on 1 April 2012 and is one of the Greenwood Academies Trust’s Group of Academies, replacing the predecessor Stanground College.
