Astrea Academy Trust is in an exciting period of growth and development. To support our ambitions, we are seeking an experienced Learning Development and Recruitment Manager in the South Yorkshire area to work within our Central Human Resources Team. The successful candidate will strategically and operationally lead the recruitment and people development strategy across the Trust, providing solutions to ensure recruitment and CPD needs are met for all academy and central roles.

Reporting into the Head of HR and supported by our HR team you will be responsible for creating and strategically leading the development and recruitment strategy for the Trust. This will primarily include;

  • Leading on ITT and NQT recruitment via Universities and international Teacher recruitment
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all Trust wide recruitment enquiries
  • Management of the whole recruitment service / team
  • Leading on the Trust’s CPD, Learning & Development and Leadership Development programmes
  • Managing School Direct and Appropriate Body Management for NQTs
  • Creating and coordinating Training Programmes across the Trust

With demonstrable experience of working in a fast paced educational recruitment environment, you will be able to manage multiple projects and prioritise your workload to the needs of the trust. The ideal candidate will be flexible, have experience of developing positive relationships with key stakeholders and will have knowledge of NQT and international recruitment.

With over twenty academies within the group across South Yorkshire and Cambridgeshire, plus the purpose built, all-though Astrea Academy Sheffield due to open in September 2018, the Trust continues to grow and inspire beyond measure.
