The UCL Academy are currently recruiting for a Biology Learning Mentor to join our sixth form team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate with vision and passion to provide inspirational mentoring in their specialist subject. The ideal Learning Mentor will be confident, have a proven track record of working effectively with young people and be willing to work individually and as a part of a team. This role will suit outgoing personalities who are looking for an exciting and rewarding role, and are able to develop a good rapport with post 16 students.
Working closely with teachers and educational support staff across faculties and under the guidance of Curriculum Leaders, you will learn and develop your own knowledge base and gain first-hand experience in supporting students. Recent and relevant experience is essential. You will also have an understanding of the emerging adult status of post 16 students, the UCAS process and of Enrichment and Personal development at post 16 level.
