Learning Mentor with Cover Responsibilities (HLTA)

We are looking for a Learning Mentor with Cover Responsibilities to join us.

In this role, you will support Teachers to ensure that pupils engage more effectively with their learning and help increase levels of achievement through appropriate provision. You will also be required to cover PPA across the academy and work with both individual pupils and small groups. This is a great opportunity to combine mentoring skills whilst working in a supportive environment.

We are shortlisting in intervals and, if successful, you will be invited to attend an interview before the closing date.

To be successful, you will:

• have experience of working with children with ASD
• be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies
• be well-organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
• have the ability to engage constructively with and relate to a wide range of young people from different backgrounds
• possess excellent communication skills at all levels

About us

Medeshamstede Academy is an all-through Academy for pupils aged 4 to 16. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for communication and interaction with a diagnosis of Autism as their main presenting need.
