If so, you might be just what we are looking for! We want to recruit a Learning Supervisor from September / October 2018. As a Learning Supervisor you will cover a variety of classes, subjects and year groups across the school whilst managing the behaviour of the students in the classroom in accordance with school policy. You will be covering in the teacher’s absence therefore strong classroom management skills are essential as you will be solely leading the class. Cover work will be provided by the teachers in support of your role.
The ideal candidate would possess the following:
* Experience of working with secondary school students
* A knowledge of school policies relating to health and safety, behaviour, attendance, equal opportunities, child
* Some understanding of the principles of child development and learning processes
* An outgoing personality, someone who enjoys working with young people and a strong presence in a classroom
The post is for 30.75 hours per week (excluding unpaid breaks), term time + 1 week to include 5 INSET days. The salary for this role is APT & C Point 24 + fringe (currently £22,401p.a. + £857p.a.), paid pro-rata for the hours worked. (Actual salary - £15,833p.a. + £605p.a.). Applicants should be educated to post 16 level or above and have a high degree of common sense. Experience of working with young people is desirable but the willingness to undertake suitable training is essential. We also welcome applications from graduates who are looking to become teachers. (An interest or specialism in MFL or English, Maths or Science would be a particular advantage.)
