Contract type: Part Time
Salary: £10,560 actual (£21,133 FTE)
Contract term: Temporary

We are one of the top-performing colleges in the country, situated in the cosmopolitan seaside city of Brighton & Hove. Working here offers the combination of both a wonderful place to work and a great city in which to live. Our students and staff are colourful, aspirational and hard-working – which is perhaps why 96% of employees would “recommend BHASVIC as a good place to work” and many of our students go on to Higher Education.

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the college’s Additional Learning Support department, supporting students in a range of subjects at A level or BTEC Level 3, as well as some students who are resitting their Maths or English GCSE.

This is a fixed term position, to cover for temporary adjustments to staffing in the department. Hours will be 22 per week, 39 weeks per year, term time only Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, however there may be some flexibility with this which can be discussed at interview.

The pro rata salary for this post is £10,560 per annum and includes 4.7 weeks holiday pay (FTE £21,133). Our Cycle to Work scheme, free counselling and occupational health service, discounted gym memberships and staff wellbeing events will keep you sharp, whilst our tailored induction programme and investment in your professional development – along with the possibility of funding for additional qualifications and to even take a sabbatical – will ensure an exciting future.

If you want to work in a contemporary creative learning community then come and work at BHASVIC.
