Learning Support Assistant
We are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), who will support the teaching and learning for a pupil with a hearing impairment. The candidate will ideally need to have a good understanding and relevant experience of working with pupils with special educational needs. As an LSA you will be committed to inclusive education by helping the student access the curriculum, participate in the wider life of the school and reach their potential. We are looking to appoint an assistant with good literacy, numeracy and communication skills as well as resilience, initiative, flexibility, a sense of humour and the ability to relate to children.
Flexible hours: (25 hrs per week) within the school day to be agreed. Salary: Grade A7 £15,107 per annum, £7.83 per hour, £7,858 pro rata. The position will end when the relevant student leaves the school or if the student is no longer entitled to additional support. The hours may also be reduced, should the pupil require less support. This position is term time only, plus 1 week of Inset Days.
