Are you resilient, positive and always ready to offer a fresh start?  Do you have experience of Youth Work or working with young people with social/emotional SEN needs?

Sellincourt Primary School is looking for a nurturing and engaging Learning Support Assistant to provide 1 : 1 support to a KS2 pupil.  The pupil is a caring and intelligent individual who we believe would flourish academically and socially with 1 : 1 daily support from an emotionally intelligent adult.

The suitable LSA must be comfortable supporting pupils who may on occasions display challenging and sometimes confrontational behavior.  Relevant experience or a willingness to work with such young people with similar needs is therefore essential.

You will support children’s learning and development, help to plan and organise activities and the learning environment and, contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school.  You will also be required to participate in training and other learning activities as necessary.

You would also be required to help the class teacher with classroom organisation and administration as well as to support individual children on the playground if required.  This post is event linked which means that when the child leaves the school the post will cease.

You will be joining a hard working and friendly team and you will be provided with support, guidance and training organised by our SENCo.
