About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for Teaching Assistants to join our Learning Support Team, which is committed to inspiring and supporting our students who have additional needs, to reach their potential.  You will be involved in a combination of in-class, one-to-one and small group support across a range of subject areas.  One-year fixed term contract in the first instance, 31 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

About you

It is essential that you have good literacy and numeracy skills (Maths and English qualification to Level 2), experience of working with ‘K’ and ‘Q’ Students and those with EHCP is desirable.

About Plumstead Manor School

Plumstead Manor is a thriving and popular secondary school located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. There has been a school on our site since 1913, with the first 105 years as a girls’ school. In response to local demand we admitted our first mixed cohort in 2018 and gradually move to being fully co-educational by 2022. 

We are a large, inclusive, comprehensive school and have capacity for 1,500 students aged 11-18. We have our own Sixth Form of around 300 students and welcome students from our own cohort as well as students from within the local area. Our students progress onto the full range of future pathways, including medicine and veterinary science courses at the most competitive universities and high-quality apprenticeships.
