ABC Teachers have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work within an SEND school we are partnered with in the Lichfield area. We have full and part time roles available, starting in September 2021.
The Role
Working as part of a dynamic and passionate team, you will work as an SEND Learning Support Assistant, where you will focus on providing one-to-one and small group support. The school require someone who is reliable as they need consistency for the children they cater for.
These are full and part time long term roles, beginning in September 2021.
The School
This is a very friendly and forward-thinking SEND School, where they are looking for committed and successful Learning Support Assistants to join their motivated team. The senior leadership team have a positive approach to leading and managing the school, and provide plenty of training in a supportive environment.
The school caters for students with Moderate to more complex needs, where you will be working with ages 11-17 to provide a high standard of care to all pupils.
Requirements
To be considered for the SEND Learning Support Assistant position, you will:
• Have recent experience working with students with a range of special educational needs
• Have suitable qualifications to work with young people and support students with SEND, this is not essential but desirable
• Have strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build a rapport with students and staff alike
• Be able to successfully work as part of a team and be confident to work independently and deal with occasional behavioural challenges.

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is recent experience working within an SEND environment.
