Carleton High School are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Manager to be responsible for the effective operation of the school’s Personalised Learning Centre.

The post holder will work as part of our experienced pastoral and inclusion team to promote the learning and welfare of vulnerable students and will manage the Personalised Learning Centre. They will work will vulnerable students who are unable to access classroom learning for a short period times due to: SEMH needs; returning from a long period of absence; returning from a suspension or from time at an Alternative Provision. They will create an environment characterised by tolerance and respect, with clear boundaries and routines at its centre, ensuring students access the support required to help them successfully meet expectations.

Applications are encouraged from candidates with experience of working with young people in an educational setting and a knowledge and understanding of how to engage students and remove barriers to learning. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving the life chances of students and hold a genuine belief that all children are capable of academic success.
