Priory Coleg Wales is looking to employ a proactive, confident and enthusiastic Learning Support Worker to join our team.
This is a term time contract and a certain degree of flexibility is essential as hours are based around the learners’ timetable and learners may be based in different colleges. Hours will normally include 09:00 am -16:00 pm Monday - Friday 5 days per week.
Duties will include working with allocated learners in the college environment, offering support with academic work and building on independence/ employability skills through our ILS (Independent Living Skills) Programme.
It would be preferable but not essential if applicants had previous experience of working with students with special educational needs and Autistic Spectrum Conditions.
Staff may be required to work outside term time if training is required.
Priory College South Wales is an independent, specialist co-educational college for young adults aged 16 to 25 with Asperger's syndrome, autistic spectrum disorders and associated conditions based at Pontypool. The college was set up in partnership with Coleg Gwent, the largest further education college in Wales, to meet the academic, scoial and emotional needs of our young people.
