Job Purpose


The post holder will provide educational support for pupils at Ashcroft School as needed by arrangement with Ashcroft’s Senior Management. The purpose is to raise pupil’s educational achievements and assist in their successful full inclusion into education. Safeguarding children and vulnerable people is a priority for all employees.


About you


We’re looking for Learning Support Assistants to support students with emotional and behavioural needs.


We’re looking for someone who has excellent communication and literacy skills.

Is calm, flexible and positive in their approach.

A strong understanding and belief that all behaviour is a means of communication

A strong passion and commitment for working with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Issues (SEMH)

Ashcroft is an independent day school and college is based in Stockport, Cheshire and in East Manchester. It’s one of the specialist education services provided by the charity the Together Trust. We cater for children and young people aged 8 to 19 years who have struggled to cope in other settings because of their individual barriers to learning. At Ashcroft we pride ourselves in working with each student offering a bespoke education package that really does meet their needs. We cater for pupils with complex emotional needs including ADHD and brain injuries.
