Successful applicants are likely to have had experience of working with a range of learners with varied educational backgrounds and must be committed to outstanding teaching and learning. This role is a mixture of technical support, instructing and lecturing. We are looking for someone with excellent knowledge of 3D arts and a passion for sharing this.

We are seeking a forward-thinking and highly motivated Lecturer to teach art across our programmes, assist with curriculum development, market and promote courses. This role involves overseeing the 3D workshop and other facilities, including being responsible for the health and safety and COSHH aspects of the environment. Some basic maintenance and preparation of art equipment is involved. The ideal candidate should feel confident when using and inducting students in a broad range of art media and equipment; for example, you should able to use a range of wood and metalwork tools.

You will be able to demonstrate recent experience of teaching at a post compulsory level, have industry experience or hold a relevant degree and up to date knowledge of contemporary arts practice.

We are looking for someone with a teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one. A flexible approach and excellent organisational/ interpersonal skills are required. A sound communicator, your administrative skills will be strong along with good problem-solving skills. You will be an effective team player able to develop and disseminate best practise within the team and faculty. You will need to work flexibly, including one evening per week and during half terms.
