Lecturer – Foundation Learning and Support
Salary: £22,034 - £28,459 full time equivalent per annum* (pro rata for part time)
Hours: 0.5 FTE
This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and friendly team within the Faculty of Foundation Learning and Support at Exeter College. Successful applicants are likely to have experience of working with a range of students with varied educational backgrounds and behavioural issues, and must be committed to outstanding Teaching and Learning.
We are seeking a forward-thinking and highly motivated Lecturer to teach work related skills, alongside functional English and Maths. You will be expected to undertake teaching, assist with curriculum development and motivate and prepare learners to engage with the world of work. You will have experience of fostering positive relationships with employers.
You will be able to demonstrate recent experience of teaching in Further Education, hold a relevant Degree or have experience of working in this area. You will have working knowledge of the current employment skills market and a teaching qualification is desirable, or the willingness to work towards one.
A flexible approach and excellent organisational/ interpersonal skills are required. A sound communicator, your administrative skills will be strong along with good problem solving skills. You will be an effective team player able to develop and disseminate best practise within the team and Faculty.
