Job overview

An exciting opportunity has become available working as part of the Foundation learning Faculty at Central London's top performing college. You will be responsible for providing effective teaching, support and assessment to a range of learners 14-18 on English programmes with the teaching to be focused on GCSE and Functional Skills.  You will also work on our KS4 Alternative Education programme, so excellent classroom management skills are essential

To be successful in this role you will need to hold a degree or equivalent in English related, and a recognised teaching qualification (or working towards it).  Successful candidates will have experience of teaching students aged 14-18 on GCSE/Functional skills programmes. In addition, you will be able to employ a range of teaching strategies and prepare students for formal assessments and exams

Westminster Kingsway College is a further education college in central London with centres in Camden and Westminster. About Westminster Kingsway College

Westminster Kingsway College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college in the London Borough of Camden and the London Borough of Westminster, serving pupils from the age of 16 and above. The college has approximately 14,000 students on record every year.

Westminster Kingsway College was founded in 2000 after the amalgamation of Westminster College and Kingsway College. It has learning centres across London in King’s Cross, Regents Park, Camden, Victoria and Soho. It offers students a number of full and part time courses including A levels and vocational courses at Level 1, 2, and 3.
