Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced individual, preferably a qualified teacher, to join a growing and popular Public Services curriculum area. The successful candidate will teach on a range of units on Level 1 - 3 programmes in Uniformed Public Services, Policing level 3 and the Access to Higher Education Diploma. The topics may include preparing for a career in the police service, understanding discipline in the police service, values and standards in the police, UK Legal systems and the police service, understand conflict management and personal protection, the development of the UK police service and crime scene investigation.
There will be regular opportunities to contribute to enrichment activities including outdoor activities, visits to universities, courts and police-based enrichment. Experience of working in the police service Is essential to this post.

Halesowen College, in the West Midlands, is a mixed further education institution. It accepts students from the age of 16 and has around 4,200 learners in attendance. The college offers courses of study in 11 subject areas and partners with three local higher education institutions.
Founded in 1966, Halesowen College regularly places in the top 10% of colleges for the examination performance of its students.
