SEN practitioners required to join a lively Hub team working with adults with learning disability. Journey Enterprises provides training services to enable adults with complex needs to develop life and employability skills. We work with conditions such as Down’s Syndrome, Williams, Sotos, autism and Fragile X.
If you are newly qualified, returning to the education sector or considering a step-change to the Charities Sector, this may be for you. The Charity’s Staff team includes experienced former secondary/tertiary education specialists together with colleagues from wider sectors.
Life Skills Coaches plan and deliver activities in groups of up to ten adults using a Positive Behaviour Support approach. The majority of our activities take place within the community, using local resources and services for which a minibus driving licence is required. We also use the facilities at our Acomb Hub which include a training kitchen, bakery, craft room, IT room and purpose-built kitchen garden.
We are looking for a team player with vision and creativity, with strong local knowledge and who has specialist interests or skills. We provide generous terms and conditions of service and opportunities for both career advancement and enhanced training.
We positively welcome applicants with disabilities and/or lived experience of unpaid caring roles.
