Job overview

  We seek a qualified and enthusiastic lifeguard to join our busy Sports Complex. Applicants should be calm under pressure with a willingness to work as part of a team. With varied shifts (including early mornings, evenings and weekends) an organised but flexible approach is essential. The applicant must hold the NPL qualification.

Applicants must be able to use their initiative, whilst being committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare. Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS and Child protection checks. We are an equal opportunities employer.

Wellington School is a Church of England denominational, co-educational, day and boarding school in Somerset. As of the most recent inspection, there were 900 pupils on the school roll. The school’s motto is the opening of Psalm 127; ‘If God Be Not With Us, Our Labour is in Vain’. The Senior School teaches pupils between the ages of 11-18. The school also offers preparatory facilities from the ages of 3 onwards. Founded in 1837 as a boys school, Wellington has been fully independent and co-educational since 1978. The 35 acre site is a combination of traditional and more recent architecture. The school operates in both a boarding and day capacity.
