Hours: 10 Hours Per Week (11.30am-1.30pm), Term Time Only 


Subject to a 6-month Probationary Period


An opportunity to make a difference


We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and engaging Lunchtime Assistant who will further enhance our dynamic and well-structured lunchtime routines at Ryecroft Academy.


The ideal applicant will have: 

• Experience of working with children and young people in an educational establishment

• A real passion for education and improving the attainment of all its pupils 

• A professional, fun, engaging and nurturing personality  


Lunchtime duties include: 

• Supporting pupils in safe and engaging lunchtime activities

• Maintaining rigour around safety and adherence to the Positive Behaviour Policy

• Supporting pupils whilst they eat their lunch, helping them to ensure their table is clean and water is always available

• High standards of cleanliness and hygiene are in place and proactively supporting our pupils to have a well-established hygiene routine in and around the dining hall

• Upholding standards for healthy eating and table manners 

• Ensuring high standards of behaviour are maintained

• Ensuring pupils feel safe and happy during lunchtimes 

• Ensuring all safeguarding procedures are meticulously implemented
