Job overview
Wootton Park School (WPS) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Lunchtime Assistant to work under the direction of the Assistant Catering Manager. The hours of work will be between 12noon & 2pm Monday to Friday term time (plus TTDs).
The position requires enthusiasm, team work, motivation and excellent verbal communication skills. Suitable candidates will have experience of working in a kitchen environment.
WPS opened in 2016 with two Reception and four Year 7 classes. In the 2017/2018 academic year, WPS has grown to include two Year 1 classes and four Year 8 classes. Currently a small school, we will grow exponentially year on year and are in the exciting stages of planning and building our new £20 million school premises facilities which will be completed in 2019/2020, ready for when WPS reaches its full capacity of 1,260 learners. As our school grows, so too does the need for high quality support staff. We are looking to build our committed and passionate team in line with our growing school.
Wootton Park School offers a first-rate and unique learning environment, ensuring high levels of academic achievement and personal development for all, while promoting the value of public service and building a stronger society. As an all-through (4-19) school, we believe this brings a significant number of benefits for learners and staff, and we seek staff who share this vision with us.
Whilst an Ofsted report is not yet available since our first inspection has not yet taken place, we have huge ambition for our school and will be outstanding in all aspects. A recent DfE monitoring inspection held in October 2017 provided the following positive comments:
“The senior leaders and staff work hard with high morale and talent to provide excellent opportunities for learning in lessons and beyond”.
“The school is truly innovative”.
“The pupils are confident, self-assured learners”.
If you are inspired by this exceptional opportunity to join us at this early stage of our journey to excellence, we want to hear from you.
Offer of a position is subject to receiving satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS Disclosure.
Wootton Park School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We are an equal opportunities employer.
