An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Main Grade Lecturer in History in one of the country’s largest Colleges.

The City of Liverpool College Group serves 12,000 learners each year from a diverse variety of backgrounds. With state-of-the-art facilities, the College is home to ground breaking innovation and involved in a wide variety of exciting new developments across the city.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with recent experience of teaching in the curriculum area to teach A Level History. You will join an established team who have many years’ experience providing a successful provision to our students. We have built strong links with local, regional and national Higher Education Institutions, and our students benefit from this. We are seeking a lecturer who can build on these links, and further strengthen our team by providing effective and stimulating opportunities for all students, through high quality teaching, learning and assessment.

The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level in History or an alternative relevant qualification; coupled with a recognised Teaching qualification or be working towards achieving this.

 Founded in 1992 following the merger of four further education facilities, The City of Liverpool College is a co-educational, non-denominational further education facility operating from six educational sites. The College Campus is located within Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter, which also includes John Moores University and the University of Liverpool. Over £100 million has been invested into the city centre campus. As of the most recent inspection the approximate number of students on the total school roll was 11,000. There are a total of over 500 courses on offer to students, including young learners, sixth form, and adult education.
