We are a leading and long established school of Health & Early Years provision that offers high quality learning opportunities in both health and social care and early year’s courses. We have over 800 enrolments each calendar year across 16-18 study programmes, adult courses, and Higher Education provision.


Our courses are focused on ensuring students gain the knowledge, practical skills & expertise to forge a path of employment in the care industry or access routes into Higher Education. Currently, the School delivers from entry level up level 6.  The main scope of this role is to teach at level 2 and 3  16-18 yr cohorts,. We are interested in candidates who may also have a background of work in the health, social and care industry.


 


We are looking to recruit a lecturer to teach within the School of Health, Social Care and Early Years across a range of Level 2, 3 and 4 courses in Health and Social Care. To create effective and stimulating opportunities for all students through high quality teaching, learning and assessment that enables progression and development of all learners.

Opened in 1992 after being formed from a number of colleges in the city we now have 5 locations situated in the heart of Liverpool. Currently the college serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners a year. In 2018 the college achieved a pass rate of 99.6% beating the national average of 97.6% for a-level results. Within this year as well we had a 100% pass rate in modern languages.

However, the college itself is not just facts and figures. The mission statement of provide high quality skills and education by delivering opportunities for growth to all people and business of the Liverpool City region, shows inclusivity and a community understanding. The ease in which to get here helps quite a lot to. Be it driving, buses, trains or even a ferry you are never short of options. 

Being that working/living in Liverpool does offer a wide range of experiences to have. Historical buildings like the Bombed out church, Royal court theatre house or even a hidden gem like the Bluecoat School lane which boasts being the oldest building in Liverpool. The Beatles museum is a popular place to explore the band and possible find bits out about them you might not have known. Or if just unwinding and relaxing there are multiple pubs/bars, restaurants, and comedy nights to enjoy.

That’s not to say our college doesn’t offer its own fair share of experiences. Within the 5 locations the following are available;
