CONTRACT: 17.5 Hours per week/52 Weeks per annum

LOCATION: Wood Street Campus mainly, but may be required to travel to any of our main campuses.

We are seeking to recruit an outstanding and enthusiastic Media Teacher for our highly successful, ScreenSkills endorsed, Level 3 Media Production Course.

The idea candidate will have experience of delivering the UAL Media curriculum and technical skills in line with industry standards and have up-to-date knowledge and experience of current industry practice. You will be able to plan and deliver high quality classes that incorporate an effective range of learning strategies that enthuse and inspire students to achieve to their full potential and prepare them for a career in the Media and Film industries.

Skills Specification· Highly proficient use of Adobe Premiere and AfterEffects for video production · Highly skilled in single camera, multi-camera and green screen techniques. · Experience of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign · Experience in sound production and sound editing.

You will need to be competent in the use of ILT to enhance learning both in and out of classes and expected to have a strong understanding and proven track record of integrating employability skills together with English and maths.

The role involves planning and developing course content, delivery and assessment of student work and providing academic feedback, monitoring of student progress and achievement and internal verification /standardisation in line with the UAL awarding body. As personal tutor you will be responsible for delivering the pastoral and tutorial programme and guiding and advising learners on appropriate career progression.

We require someone with excellent interpersonal communication skills to ensure the duties associated with this post are met in full. The successful candidate will have a BA (Hons) in Media studies and a UK recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, DTLLS or Cert ED or be working towards.
