We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help maintain and repair College buildings and facilities.
The role will see you responding to a diverse range of requested works and repairs around the campus, as well as undertaking building and plant assessments to determine maintenance needs and carry out any preventative works as required. You will carry out minor repairs to furniture and internal fixtures and fittings, brickwork, paving, flooring and walls, as well as decoration work, basic carpentry, mechanical and plumbing works.
To be successful, you will have a building or maintenance background with appropriate qualifications and experience in relevant trades. You will also be self-motivated, able to forge effective working relationships with a wide range of staff and prepared to work flexibly.
The hours are 42.5 hours per week, usually Monday to Friday, although some other weekend work and occasional out of normal working hours event support may also be required.
