Salary: £40,311- £44,042 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Ellesmere Port

 We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our team at our Ellesmere Port Campus.  This is an excellent opportunity to support in the provision of a quality support service for learners, visitors, customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reflect the vision, mission, aims and values of the College.
• Prepare and produce timely, accurate and meaningful monthly management accounts, commentary, supporting analysis, KPI’s and variance reports.
• Provide budget holders with financial information which meets their needs.
• Answer queries from budget holders about their accounts and deal with ad hoc queries from the finance team.
• Assist with the collection and collation of information and data in order to assist with the preparation of the annual budget
• Assist with the preparation of other regulatory returns, ensuring they are submitted in a timely manner (i.e. National Statistics, HMRC, FOI requests)
• Promote the welfare of children and young people.

Key Person Specification Requirements:

• A suitable UK accountancy qualification with at least 2 years post qualification experience (CIMA, ACCA,ACA)
• Excellent knowledge of accounting systems and extensive spreadsheet experience
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment.
• Good organisational skills.
• Appropriate level of digital literacy.
