The web is a vital channel of communication and Southbank International School uses its website as its main tool for providing information to (prospective) parents, students, and staff. For this reason, a professional, engaging and user-friendly website is crucial both internally and externally. We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and skills in web content management to create, develop and manage content on the school’s website. The appointed person will also be expected to build and maintain a strong social media presence on platforms including Twitter, Facebook and any others as appropriate. Although management of the School’s website and digital communications will form the bulk of this role, the role-holder will be expected to work with colleagues/ support the production and delivery of other communications and marketing materials.

The role-holder will need to be able to manage a varied workload including projects which may be either reactive or proactive in nature. The role may involve occasional out-of-hours’ work.

The appointed candidate will be someone educated to a degree level who has demonstrable experience in web editing, a high level of technical ability and the ability to learn new systems quickly and thoroughly. They should also have a thorough understanding of Data Protection, Intellectual Property, Copyright Law, Freedom of Information and their application.

In addition to writing, editing, and proofreading site content, the appointed candidate will work closely with the technical team who host the website to maintain site standards with regard to new developments.

About the Kensington campus

The Kensington campus offers the PYP for students ranging in age from 3 to 11 and also has children from a multitude of backgrounds. Kensington is relatively small with a close-knit community and is housed in two coverted mansion blocks in Notting Hill. Facilities at Kensington include a Mac-based IT Lab; a music room with a range of percussion instruments; a library/media room to support the PYP programme; a multi-purpose hall used for lunches, sport and concerts; a large garden with a climbing frame, sandpit and an array of equipment for children to use.
