About ISCAT La Garriga International School of Catalunya

The International School of Catalunya (ISCAT) is a mixed, non-denominational school situated in the municipality in the province of La Garrige, half an hour from the centre of Barcelona, Spain. It is situated across three buildings on a single campus; Blancafort for its Early Years and Key Stage 1, Manuel Raspall for its Key Stage 2 and Xavier Calls for its Key Stages 3-5. It is an independent school that educates students between the ages of 3-18, with English as its main language of instruction, with Spanish and Catalan forming a key part of the programme. Working with the National Curriculum of England and Wales, it offers a number of British qualifications, including SATs, IGCSEs and International A Levels. It has an impressive number of accreditations, including membership of the International Primary Curriculum and The Council of British International Schools. It has also been recognised as a private foreign centre by Generalitat of Catalunya, an Edexcel exam centre and a UNICEF Rights Respecting School.

ISCAT was founded in 2007 as a place to deliver a British curriculum in Spanish surroundings. May 2016 saw the first students sit Cambridge English Examinations. It has recently undergone a building change, in which its Nursery up to Year 2 classes and office have changed location to its main campus.
