Maths at Twyford

Our KS3 and KS4 Maths curriculums are three tiered; within each tier we use differentiated outcomes for each lesson to ensure we deliver the best possible curriculum for students of all abilities. At KS5 we run A Level courses in both Maths and Further Maths, and student recruitment to these courses has been an area of growth for the school. The curriculum and assessment frameworks are stored on the VLE (‘Copia’) to ensure that all materials are accessible for students, parents and staff.

The department comprises 18 teachers, led by the head of department and a second-in-charge for Maths. The department includes 2 trainees and 3 teachers who trained with us last year, with many of the team having additional responsibilities across the school.  The successful candidate would teach groups from all key stages; all teachers in the department are required to teach Maths to KS5.
