We are looking for Maths Teachers to join our outstanding school as we grow into our sixth year. William Perkin Church of England High School opened as a Free School in September 2013 with its first intake of Year 7 students, and now has six year groups (7 - 12) totalling almost 1,160 students. The school is rated ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted (June 2015) and SIAMS (October 2016) and is oversubscribed on first choice applicants. New post-holders may also have the opportunity to teach students of Ada Lovelace High School - the Trust’s fourth school which opened in September 2018 with 125 students.
Over the summer we received our first set of GCSE results which were outstanding both at a whole school and departmental level. The Mathematics Department is incredibly proud of our impressive Maths results with over 30% of students securing Grades 9-7, 79% of students securing Grades 9-5 and 85% of students securing Grades 9-4. We also offered a GCSE in Additional Maths, with all students sitting this examination securing a Distinction.
Our Sixth Form opened in September 2018 and Mathematics is an extremely popular A-Level subject with four Maths classes and one Further Maths class. As an EBACC subject, all students in key stages 3 and 4 have a 50-minute Maths lesson every day. We additionally offer core elective numeracy classes in the afternoons to help our students who need extra support in Maths, and a variety of extended electives including Chess Club and UKMT training. Some students in Year 10 and 11 are studying for a FSMQ in Additional Maths in order to prepare themselves for A Level mathematics.This is a popular course that runs after school, and students have made tremendous progress so far.

- A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status
