The British International School Houston is a successful, growing school with a highly committed and motivated team of teaching professionals at its heart. Our close knit and supportive team is proud of our school and community, educating around 1100 young people from over 70 nationalities each year. Over the last 4 years our IB students achieved an average point score of 36 and our IGCSE students achieved 60% A*/A across all entries. Each year, a high proportion of our students are accepted into top universities around the world.
In 2016 we opened a state of the art facility, that placed learning at the center of the design and enables students to take ownership of their own learning with the support and guidance of dedicated teachers. We are looking for teachers who can make full use of our facility by being committed to a modern, constructivist, inquiry-based and personalised approach to learning that inspires and engages students. In line with this, we would expect you to have experience with concept-driven, inquiry-based curricula and be able to speak passionately about the impact on student engagement and learning.
You will have a growth mindset, be able to deal with ambiguity and be motivated by participating fully in all aspects of school life. You should have experience with the IB and other modern international curricula.
In addition to being highly successful in its own right, The British International School Houston is a member of Nord Anglia Education. This means you will join an internationally networked team where ideas, learning and best practice are shared with colleagues around the globe and where professional learning and career progression are supported and actively promoted.
In return for your passion in delivering a quality education, we offer a competitive salary, flight allowance, healthcare and school places for your children. Additionally, we offer security and the opportunities that are inherent in a high-quality global organisation dedicated to education and helping others to be the best they can be.
