Media Teacher
(Full Time)
EF Academy Torbay seeks to appoint an individual who is an enthusiastic and innovative teacher, with energy and drive.
The primary qualities sought are a genuine passion for teaching Media and the strong subject knowledge and experience required to teach the subject at A-Level and/or GCSE. A willingness to contribute to the wider co-curricular and community activity of a lively international boarding school situated in this beautiful part of the UK is essential.
The school is equipped with iMacs and the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite therefore a good understanding of relevant software is essential (e.g. Premiere Pro, Photoshop & Auditions). The department also uses Nikon DSLR cameras for production work and so a working knowledge of how to shoot film with these cameras would be advantageous.
A Level Media provision is offered by following the EDUQAS awarding body specification (the school does not offer the AS stand-alone qualification).
Closing date for applications is 12 noon on Monday 18th March.
Interviews will take place w/c 25th March.
Salary: Competitive and dependent upon skills and experience.
We are committed to the safeguarding of children and young people and we expect all staff to share this commitment. All applicants will be subject to pre-employment screening, which includes an enhanced DBS and reference check prior to appointment.
