Term time, 5 hours per week

We are looking to employ a midday meals supervisor to work with children across the age and ability spectrum ensuring pupils are engaged and nurtured during lunchtimes. Rye Oak Primary School is a two-form entry school with remarkable pupils. We are a Good school as rated by Ofsted in November 2021 and are looking for reliable team members to join us and help us to enrich the lives our pupils. Our commitment to making a positive difference to the lives of our children is our utmost priority.  

We are looking for:

  • The ability to build excellent relationships with children and staff
  • The ability to manage the dining space during the lunchtime period in a calm and friendly manner ensuring that children are safe and happy as they eat their lunch
  • The ability to support children who are reluctant eaters
  • The ability to support children in using cutlery in the correct way
  • The ability to monitor all areas to ensure that all children are behaving in a safe and appropriate manner, and to intervene in a timely and appropriate manner when needed
  • The ability to ensure the lunch space is free from any safety hazards e.g. spillages, and to deal with them efficiently and appropriately
  • The ability to engage with children on the playground and facilitate appropriate play, games, relationships and regulation
  • A flexible, hardworking, organised, efficient and creative team player
