Foreign Language Assistant (French)

Point 9 SCP £21,269 (Pro-rata 38 weeks £8,614.13). Approx.18 hours per week. There is an opportunity for flexibility in the hours and potential for a job share for the right candidate/s.

Start date is September 2022 ideally but flexible depending on the candidate.

We are recruiting for a Foreign Language Assistant in French to work with students up to A-Level.

The Post

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate effective practice in developing the speaking and writing of students of French, the ability to deliver targeted intervention to support and challenge students of different levels, and a willingness to contribute to the whole staff team.

Flexibility and the ability to motivate and encourage are essential qualities, along with energy and capacity for hard work. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of what effective practice and be committed to enabling all students to access the curriculum in order to fulfil their academic potential.

You would be joining a flourishing department, where there will be great opportunities to learn, train and develop.

Languages at Cleeve

Languages are highly valued at Cleeve and there is a keen interest by the Executive Head and Trustees to continue to increase student uptake of the EBacc and develop international links and events across the curriculum.

Outcomes in MFL have significantly improved over the years and the department goes from strength to strength! The department has an extremely well-resourced subject area, with attractive teaching rooms, an excellent range of teaching resources and a great network with local schools and businesses.
