Are you passionate about fostering language proficiency and cultural understanding? We're seeking an exemplary MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) Teacher to join our team! As an MFL Teacher, you will demonstrate effective planning, teaching, and organisation while maintaining high standards of achievement and behaviour in lessons.

Develop and review the school's MFL curriculum and related schemes of work to ensure excellence in language education. Follow school assessment, recording, and reporting procedures to monitor student progress effectively. Facilitate connections with visiting specialists and the community to enrich language learning experiences. Share best practices within and beyond the MFL department to enhance teaching quality. Utilize student tracking and monitoring processes to advance children’s learning and enhance professional practice in line with the school’s aspirations and priorities. Promote cultural entitlement through a variety of enrichment activities during and after the school day.

Identify clear teaching objectives, content, structures, and sequences of French/Spanish lessons tailored to students' educational needs. Set appropriate, yet demanding expectations for student learning, building on prior attainment/knowledge. Demonstrate fluency and proficiency in the target language to create an immersive language learning environment. Introduce students to the rich cultural heritage of French/Spanish-speaking countries to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the language. Foster students' language skills through interactive activities, dialogue practice, and authentic language tasks. Teach grammar, sentence structures, verb conjugations, and vocabulary systematically and engagingly. Assess students' language proficiency through various methods and provide constructive feedback. Employ a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to diverse learning styles. Organise cultural exchange activities, language immersion programs, and virtual exchanges to provide real-world language experiences. Prepare students for language proficiency exams such as DELF (French) or DELE (Spanish).

Ensure all children make the best possible progress in their learning and can demonstrate, apply, and transfer learning in relevant contexts. Engage actively in language classes, participate in discussions, and practice language skills. Dedicate time each day to practice language skills and explore cultural aspects of French/Spanish-speaking countries. Create opportunities for language immersion at home. Collaborate with peers in group activities to practice communication skills. Set clear language learning goals and strive for continuous improvement. Prepare for language assessments, exams, and certifications. Utilise language learning tools and resources to enhance language skills outside the classroom.
