The role
The Support Teacher - Inclusive Education supports the college and teachers to meet the specific learning needs of students across the full range of abilities. STIEs use the principles of Inclusive Education to provide flexibility to respond to the diverse needs of students.
Committed to working with students with diverse learning needs, and the ability to develop and implement inclusive and effective teaching and learning strategies to engage and improve education outcomes for a diverse range of students.
Successful applicants will have:
You will bring rich teaching experiences of at least 5 years, and a background working with students with diverse learning needs will make your application even more competitive. Post graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline (eg inclusive education or special needs as recognised by BCE) is desirable. Your experience in developing and implementing Individual Curriculum Plans (ICPs) is key. You must have a proven capacity to work as part of a team and the ability to use your own initiative and to work independently.
