Music is a core part of life in many of our schools. Designed to build confidence, ability and harness a life-long love of a variety of music, the Ark music programme offers a wealth of experience for all pupils at all levels.

We are looking for a talented Music Programme Associate to work with Ark primary academies to ensure that teaching and learning in music is of the highest quality, and that pupil attainment is outstanding. Through coaching and mentoring, you will work with teachers to inspire pupils to participate in, excel at and enjoy a range of music-making activities within the classroom and beyond. You will play a key role in raising the profile of music making across our academies and in developing a music provision for our children which is first-class. 

The ideal candidate will:

· Be an outstanding teacher and a reflective classroom practitioner

· Have a proven track record of developing thriving musical communities with a range of schools

· Have experience of designing inclusive curriculum pathways reflective of a broad range of pedagogies

· Be well placed to ensure our pupils are connected to relevant musical opportunities within their area.

Candidates qualified to teach in the UK are preferred however exceptional primary music specialists will be considered.
