Job overview
IBSTOCK PLACE SCHOOL
Music Teacher
Summer or Autumn Term 2018
Applications are invited for a well-qualified and inspirational teacher of Music. The successful applicant will teach up to Pre-U Music and be an accomplished musician; the ability to play the piano at a high standard is important.
The post is appropriate for an established teacher wishing to take on a responsibility within the Faculty, or for a newcomer to the profession. IPS runs its own Graduate Training Programme and so the post may suit a graduate who is keen to enter the teaching profession but who does not have NQT status.
All members of staff have a pastoral role within the School and are required to participate in its co-curricular programme, thus enabling them to share their skills and expertise in areas not covered within curriculum time.
Information about the post is available at:-

The completed application form, together with a CV and a handwritten covering letter, should be posted to the Headmistress, as soon as possible. Email applications will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances.
The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Championing co-education since its founding in 1894, Ibstock embodies the best of modern education: academically ambitious, emotionally intelligent and socially conscious. At Ibstock, we believe schools should be places of joy. Childhood is precious, and our pupils flourish in an environment that is both challenging and supportive, ambitious and kind.
Our main intakes are at Kindergarten (age 3+), Prep 3 (age 7+), Senior 7 (age 11+) and Lower Sixth Form (age 16+). A limited number of occasional places are available in all year groups except Prep 6, Senior 11 and Upper Sixth Form.
