Job overview
TEACHER of MUSIC
To start as soon as possible
MPS/UPS, Full Time, Permanent
We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Music who has vision and energy.
You will implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils and to support the curriculum area as appropriate: Monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils and facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides pupils with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
We are not hiding the fact that we have faced a number of educational challenges, but we are making significant progress as evidenced by our recent Ofsted Monitoring visit, in November, 2019. Please take a look at the report on our web site:

However, we are not just about academic success; we work hard to ensure that we role model the right behaviours and provide opportunities for our pupils to develop the skills and understanding required to both be personally successful in the future workplace but also have a positive impact on the world.
We have the support of United Learning and its cluster of schools in the North West working alongside us and have access to excellent CPD for staff, joint-working across schools and a series of initiatives and opportunities that no standalone school could ever provide on its own.
So, if you are driven, ambitious and aspire to build on our success, please get in touch.
Please see the generic Job Descriptions and Person Specifications which are available on the school web site and TES.
Please apply by completing the downloadable application form from the School’s web-site http://www.harropfold.com/information/employment-opportunities and return by e-mail with your supporting statement, which should be on A4, no longer than 2 sides, (in 11 font) to: bev.duffy@salford.gov.uk

Within walking distance is a railway station which serves the Wigan, Southport, Bolton and Manchester lines and the new V1 & V2 guided bus-way from Atherton & Tyldesley to Manchester City Centre.
There are a range of local shops and a supermarket close by, and we are within a few miles is Salford Quays with its wide diverse selection of shops, restaurants, cinemas, clubs and amenities.

Values and vision
Our core purpose as a school is to raise achievement for all, delivering a rigorous academic education alongside effective personal, social and moral development. We work hard to ensure Harrop Fold School is a happy place to learn and work and provide equal opportunities for all.
No matter their starting points, we stretch and challenge students to reach their potential through a broad, balanced curriculum and wider enrichment opportunities. We provide clear objectives for learning whilst offering the chance to work independently and with others. We celebrate achievements and provide individualised praise through the Class Charts reward system, sharing this with both pupils and parents/carers.
We value our relationships with parents and carers. We know it is essential to communicate effectively with them and work collaboratively to secure the best possible outcomes for students.
Partnerships are also important to us and we aim to work closely with both the local and wider community. As a school we value our international links and constantly seek ways in which pupil experiences can be broadened to prepare them for life beyond school and the world of work, including through our Student Futures programme.
