We are looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic teacher of Music to join Gidea Park Preparatory School and Nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join us and lead in our delivery of music. 

Required for September 2022 this is a part time permanent role. Working 2 days a week you will be delivering Music to students from Nursery to Year 6. 

Gidea Park Preparatory School and Nursery is an independent, co-educational day school for children aged 3 to 11, where pupils get the best start possible and learn in a happy and secure environment. Founded in 1917, we have been educating, nurturing and challenging children for over 100 years. Children are at the heart of everything we do; our small classes and school environment truly allow us to know our pupils as individuals and to tailor our teaching and curriculum accordingly. We have high expectations for our pupil’s academic progress and personal development and work closely with our parents to ensure that all our pupils get the very most from their time with us.

The School has an enviable academic record and a long tradition of sending pupils to grammar and selective independent schools. But there is a great deal more to Gidea Park than just academic success. We firmly believe that happy children make better progress and to achieve this, children need to be understood, listened to and valued.

This is an exciting time for you to join our School and we are looking for a music teacher who will be able to drive the subject onto new heights. As the sole music teacher you must be able to enthuse our students in every aspect of music.  

To apply, you will need to have QTS and be able to demonstrate your passionate for children’s learning within early years.  

 We are looking for a Music teacher who is able to; 

• Inspire children in Music with enthusiasm and a love of music. 

• Deliver high quality learning that engage our children.

• Prepare and plan outstanding music lessons, taking account of the requirements children of all abilities 

• Prepare and develop, teaching materials, teaching programmes, methods of teaching and assessments.

• Be able to provide feedback and guidance to pupils and their parents in an engaging way that encourages continuous learning at home.

• Develop music at Gidea Park and increase our students passion for the subject.

What you will need;

• Have recent teaching experience in music. 

• Have evidence of continuing professional teacher development. 

• To have a sound knowledge of all aspects of music and methods to teach this. 

• The ability to inspire children to reach their full potential

• Experience of teaching music to pupils aged 2 to 11.

• A strength and passion for music.
