Granta School is a highly successful, popular Community Area Special School, catering for pupils aged 3 to 19 years old. We currently have 150 children on roll and are expanding. We are extremely proud of our team who continually work towards providing our students with the best possible learning outcomes.
We are looking for someone with the expertise, drive and vision to work with us to develop a whole school therapeutic support for our pupils.
The therapist’s role will be:
- To assess pupils’ therapeutic needs on a 1:1 and group basis
- To provide short term therapy for selected pupils
- To provide class therapy sessions that develop engagement and communication
- To provide training and advice on how pupils’ therapeutic needs can be best met within the classroom
- To work with the leadership team to ensure that the curriculum and its delivery is designed to meet the needs of all pupils
- To model appropriate approaches
- To liaise with parents, teachers and external professionals
