Closing Date: 6th September 2019
Start Date: August 2020
An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a well-qualified and inspirational MYP Coordinator.
Founded in partnership between NLCS (UK) and Sobha, North London Collegiate School [Singapore] will open its doors in August 2020. We are excited to be bringing the ambitious and inspirational NLCS ethos to the dynamic and exciting city of Singapore.
The School will provide the same impressive range of extra-curricular activities for which North London Collegiate School (UK), NLCS Jeju and NLCS Dubai, are well known, to foster the holistic development of well-rounded individuals.
The school will be purpose built, boasting impressive, state-of-the-art facilities; construction is already underway and on target for completion in February 2020.
NLCS [Singapore] is looking for a dynamic and committed Middle Years Programme Coordinator with an outstanding track record, to teach at the School from August 2020. It is our intention to pursue authorisation to offer the MYP soon after opening, and the MYP Coordinator will lead this drive.
The Academic Board will be led by the Principal and will be committed to the strategic leadership of education across the school. It will include the 4 Vice Principals and the Diploma Programme, Middle Years Programme and Primary Years Programme Co-ordinators. The team will meet regularly and act as an advisory group for the Principal on all matters of educational policy and implementation.
The MYP Co-ordinator will be responsible for all aspects of the leadership, planning and successful delivery of the MYP at NLCS [Singapore], working collaboratively within the Academic Board. This will be a challenging, exciting and rewarding role, reporting to the Vice Principal (Academic).
We believe that NLCS [Singapore] represents a unique opportunity for teachers. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including accommodation allowance, annual flights, health insurance, and free places at the school for up to two dependent children. We also provide first-class professional development through the established NLCS educational community and a variety of external providers. An annual HSBC report has named Singapore as the best location in the world for expatriates to live and work, for four consecutive years.
Whilst we enjoy excellent facilities in a prime location, it is our people that will make our School such an inspirational place. If you are interested in joining our team please submit a completed application form, an up to date CV, and a covering letter of application that focuses on your personal educational philosophy. Applications should be emailed to email@example.com .
The deadline for applications is 6th September 2019. However, please note that an appointment may be made prior to the closing date if an exceptional candidate is found.
NLCS [Singapore] is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to satisfactory enhanced background checks.
