Job overview

The Governors are looking to appoint a Network Manager, who will work with wider teams within the School, providing day to day management of the School's IT systems to ensure a robust and stable platform for the delivery of teaching and learning. While this post would suit someone experienced with working in an educational setting, experience shows that this is not an essential requirement.

The School is looking to appoint someone who can successfully manage software deployments, administer school systems, and use their technical expertise to implement technological initiatives that enhance the IT experience for students, teachers, staff, and parents. They will also regularly engage with the schools’ teaching and administration teams, allowing them to benefit from your technical knowledge providing staff and students with a professional, high quality ICT experience.

The successful candidate will be expected to primarily maintain, develop, and improve the core ICT infrastructure including the physical and wireless networks, hypervisors/servers, backups, and communication systems. The reliability of the School’s remote access infrastructure is an essential element of the role in order to provide a stable, continuous learning environment for all stakeholders.  In addition, they will investigate and advise the school’s leadership team on new technologies that will ensure the development of St Mary’s from a good to an outstanding school.
