King Edward VI College, Stourbridge is a sixth form college and a member of the Heart of Mercia Trust.  The college specialises in the delivery of A levels for 16- to 19-year-olds, offering a broad curriculum with extensive enrichment opportunities. We require a full-time network systems administrator to ensure the smooth running and on-going development of the local college’s computer network and other systems. 

The post holder’s main role will be to work co-operatively with other members of the College’s IT teams to ensure the smooth running of its IT systems, carry out general administration of Windows based computer network and second / third line support.  The role also includes the development and expansion of the college network and related systems in conjunction with IT Services staff.  The post holder will work collaboratively with the wider college and Trust staff on IT developments and will be expected to assist in wider projects or development work as required and support the learning of students through effective use of IT.

The College is fully committed to supporting all members of staff through staff development and in-service training.handbook of the Sixth Form Colleges Association.  Salary will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges Association support staff pay scale 15 - 21 which is currently £25,894 – £31,353 per annum.
