About the role

Nursery Teacher (Part Time) Mon-Wed 

Fixed Term for 12 months, 19.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Thomas Hinderwell Primary Academy is a one and a half form entry primary (220 on roll and rising) with big ambitions as we continue to broaden our horizons for our children and our staff team.

Our curriculum design has meant a significant reduction in staff workload for planning and assessment, while at the same time allowing our teachers to retain their flair in their classrooms.

Under the leadership of our Executive Principal and our newly appointed Head of School we are moving forward rapidly and while our new approaches will take time to further embed we are seeing positive results. As a school we have adopted Talk for Writing and Reading, Effective Maths, a new Core Knowledge Curriculum and have drawn upon our Trust English network of 34 leaders to help our journey.

We are part of the David Ross Education Trust which is a family of 34 primary and secondary schools. As a staff colleague you will access CPD available locally as well as accessing leading teaching and leadership programmes through our Trust networks

Our ongoing development in terms of educational achievement and commitment to raising standards on the coast is at the forefront of our thinking – and we have a great enrichment programme and work closely as a partner with the Opportunity Area.

We now have an opportunity for a colleague to join us as a part time Nursery  teacher within EYFS, and join our teaching colleagues who are renewed, supported and challenged in their teaching practice and career aspirations. You will already be on your way to being an excellent practitioner and will want to thrive and to develop your career by working in our school. With tailored support from our Executive Principal, Head of School and colleagues we will further develop you and give you the skills, encouragement and experience within the profession you are looking for.
