This role is a maternity cover role with the possibility of a permanent position within the organisation at the end of the contracted period. Is it working 39 weeks per year during school term time and INSET plus 6 weeks holiday to be taken during school closure periods.

About the role:

As an Occupational Therapist at Wings School Notts, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will be working within a friendly and skilled clinical team, consisting of a Clinical Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist and Nurse. You will work closely with the education and care team. You will have the clinical responsibility for Occupational Therapy provision whilst the current Occupational Therapist is on maternity leave. You will provide a high quality standard of occupational therapy assessment, management, treatment and advice for a caseload of children aged 9 to 17 with a wide range of emotional, social and mental health difficulties, plan, deliver and evaluate therapy treatment programmes as agreed in the child’s EHCP, work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team and multi-agency teams involved with children and their families, contributing to team meetings, consultations, joint assessments, reviews and staff training.

About you:

For this role, we are looking for someone who has a Dip COT, BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy together with HCPC and BAOT registration and previous experience of working in a special school setting or in a CAMHS service. The focus of this position will be on assessment, diagnosis and implementing strategy to improve outcomes of our children and young people.
