Job overview
We require two Occupational Therapists to provide advice and consultation, as well as individual therapy to our students from September 2021. These are part time positions, up to 4 days per week.
Hurst Lodge is a small independent mainstream setting situated on the Surrey/Hampshire border.
The school are looking for an Occupational Therapist to work across the school. General duties would consist of assessing and writing sensory profiles for pupils and advising the schools leadership team in regard to meeting pupils' sensory needs (strategies, activities, resources etc). The successful Occupational Therapist would also be required to deliver some staff training from time to time.
The successful candidate will have experience working within a similar setting as well as a depth understanding of ASD and associated behaviours.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and be able to work as part of a team as well as independently. The successful candidate must be registered with the HCPC and have the relevant degree qualification for the role.
You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview, provide satisfactory references, undergo an enhanced DBS check and complete Safeguarding training in line with our school policies.
Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
